“Lumberjack 20” BMCF Kids Fundraiser Workout
Help Support Boulder Mountain CrossFit Kids!
Saturday, August 27th at 9am
Join us on Saturday, August 27th at 9am for a special “Hero WOD” to both honor fallen soldiers and fundraise for the Boulder Mountain CrossFit Kids program. You have the option to take on the workout with a partner, or you can go at it on your own, the choice is yours.
This is a student organized fundraiser event benefitting the Drug Coalition’s Idaho Drug Free Youth (IDFY) program. Thanks to community support of the Drug Coalition, high school and middle school student IDFY members are provided with access to age appropriate CrossFit programming on a year round basis. There is no fee to take part in the event, however we are encouraging donations to the Drug Coalition specified to the CrossFit Kids program – all donations are tax deductible, and you can donate whether you take part in the workout or not.
“Lumberjack 20” is a CrossFit workout honoring the lives of soldiers and civilians attacked by a terrorist named Major Nidal Hasan at Fort Hood, Texas in November of 2009. Aaron Thomas Nemelka, 19, of West Jordan, Utah, Pfc. Michael Pearson, 22, of Bolingbrook, Illinois, and Spc. Kham Xiong, 23, of St. Paul, Minnesota, along with eleven of the wounded were active CrossFitters in the 20th Engineer Battalion, home to Lumberjack CrossFit.

20 Overhead Squats (115/75)
20 Pullups (Chest to Bar)
20 Box jumps (24″/20″)

About BMCF and the Drug Coalition
Creating health and vitality for the Valley’s youth is a shared goal of both Boulder Mountain CrossFit and the Drug Coalition. The CrossFit Kids program at BMCF provides a safe place where kids can learn self confidence, risk management, and develop lasting healthy habits. BMCF and the Drug Coalition have had a long standing relationship and have seen first hand the befits this program has on participants. Students are more confident, better able to withstand peer pressure and are taking an active roll in creating their own healthy body and mind.
